How do you handle a situation wherein family leave or obligations is creating a situation where work responsibilities and obligations are not being met, and where those obligations are key to the company's future success? If the employee cannot fulfill the requirements of the position due to family issues, what do I do as an employer? I still need to run my business. It is not feasible to hire a "temp" because this position is a managerial position and requires months, if not years of training.

Please advice.
