Does anyone have any information regarding recording telephone calls. Our Manager "calls" in to one of our facilities and pretends to be a customer and he records this and later goes to the Employee and grades them on the customer they gave. I know he gave a handout letting them know this could take place, but I am wondering if this is really a safe practice.

Thanks

As long as it has been discussed to the employee, it should not be illegal. It should be done for everyone and evaluation sheet should be provided along with it. You can label it as part of your on-going sales training.
