Please read, if anyone could help would greatly appreciate it.
Our corporate office is based in FL, and limited knowledge with CA laws. So my question is we have an employee that is pregnant, we do not have FMLA(small company) so we advised the employee of her CA rights (PDL). However due to complication in her pregancy, the employee went out on leave early. Its almost time for her return and she has not had the child. We have advised her that her benefits would be covered till Dec. 24th her due date isn't until end of Jan 2008. What are our obligations?

Need more details: (how may employees does your company have within a 75 mile radius? She is obviously on Paid Disability Leave so you just need to figure what leaves your company is eligible for.
If your company does not meet the requirements for FMLA then you do not need to continue benefits. You do however have to offer COBRA and she must be notified before the end of coverage.

| Under PDL, do we have to hold a job for this person if they have only been employed 30 days?
