Our company operated on a skeleton crew for Christmas *Eve* & will do the same New Years *Eve*. The owner asked who wanted the day off, without pay. He had a few volunteers, but wanted a few more people off so he told others to take the day off (he will subsequently dock their pay). I realize that the an Outside Salesperson is exempt from the entire IWC Order and we can dock for absences, but would this apply to holidays as well? AND would it apply if they are being told to take the day off? Please help, payroll is looming!

I forgot to add that Christmas Day & New Years Day would still be paid holidays for all our employees.
