| We have a non-exempt employee who continually works through lunch. The supervisor doesn't say anything because they are friends, what possible repercussions are there as far as the company is concerned. What (if anything) should we do to discourage this?

| The company will be responsible to compensate the employee who works through lunch for an hour at their current hourly rate. Also keep in mind that if an employee is scheduled to work more than 6 hours...the lunch / meal period cannot be waived and the lunch / meal period must be taken by the 5th hour of work. I hope this helps.
