| Our company is going to have to lay some people off for business reasons. Can we lay off a person that is on medical leave? This person has been on medical leave twice in the last 3 years.

Please read the FMLA/CFRA. There is a clause that allows layoffs for top 10% of management staff. I would also check with an attorney to clarify further.
