Can an employer make you get a new social security card if you sign it differently. IE: Your name is John Doe and below you sign as John
We have a manager demanding this of an employee but I am not sure it’s legal or our place.

So they just didn't sign their last name? Does their ID match the name on the social? If that information matches then it may just be the way they sign their name?????
