We have an EE who EE injured an ankle during vacation. Her Dr.'s note states only that she should not bear weight on the ankle for 2 weeks. She is reluctant to drive, and among other things, we have offered to pay for transportation. My question is, given that this is an accident that occured during her vacation, is it really our responsibility to provide her with transportation or hers? Thanks!

Do you normally provide transprotation for this employee? If not then you shouldn't be required to do so now. Even if it was a work related injury. That may make the employee be on a temporary disablilty if their doctor does not want them to drive but still would not require you to provide transportation.
