We are a california based company and provide medical insurance coverage for all employees. We have an office in Atlanta as well. The medical coverage for both offices is Blue Shield of Califonria. Would domestic partners be covered in our Atlanta office as well as our california offices?

We are the exact opposite of you. Our company is based in FL and we opened an office in CA. We allow domestic partner coverage, for our employees, as we would for any employee with traditional coverage. Our employees in CT and CA are allowed spousal rights because of state mandates, but I'm not sure if special provisions have to be made for registered domestic partners (DP) or if we can treat them like the rest of the employees with DP coverage with non-spousal rights. In general, I think it will be good to offer equal level benefits to all your employees.
