Today I came back to work after a vacation. My employee was being smart in the way that she was answering me. She also did not like the way I handled her time card. She punches in late or not at all as she says she forgets. In the discussion, she got up and said that she is going home. What can I do about this behavior.

Do you have any company policy regarding this issue?
I think for most company, this employee will at least deserve a written warning, if the employee is constantly not recording her worktime accurately despite repeated warnings then terminating the employee is not a bad option.
