| Can we as a company put in place a policy that states that they must speak to HR during their own time, ie., before their shift or on their break? Is their a law against that protects employees from this type of P&P?

| Call me crazy, but why would you want to do that? Do you not have an open door policy?

| That just seems "tight", as we used to say in 8th grade. I prefer staff to see me DURING their working time, and I'll control the pace and length. Better to dip into their time on the floor than run the risk of them saying we owe overtime for the five minutes or whatever. Plus, it's just a mutual respect thing- I don't talk to them on their breaks and they talk to me when they are not on their break.
