I am looking for a recommendation for a one or two day training class (in the SF Bay Area) for new supervisors. Course content to possibly include wage & hour laws, communication, feedback, motivation, setting priorities, conflict management.

There are a variety of options for you here in the Bay Area, as well as online. Some of the training resources I have used include the CareerTrak courses (Fred Pryor/CareerTrak) and Skillsoft.com.
The HRCalifornia website has also expanded its content of training courses for managers and supervisors. Go to the CalChamber store on this website to see additional training courses for managers. Also, some of our local universities offer Professional Development courses that new managers can take to learn specific skill sets. There are other resources out there, these are the ones I am most familiar with.

We currently have a great instructor, which we have used for many years. The instructor is Toni Shabayami, with S&K Compliance. She very clear, concise, and accruate. Give her try. You will love her.
